Image-Based Plant Disease Detection Using Deep Learning Models

Developed a web-based system for detecting plant diseases from leaf images using deep learning (CNN) and image processing techniques. Built a MATLAB-based model to automatically classify 38 disease classes and integrated it with a Streamlit web application for real-time image upload and accurate disease prediction. Implemented image segmentation to identify infected regions and calculate severity percentage based on infected and the total leaf area. The system also provides treatment recommendations and supports real-time monitoring using ThingSpeak, enabling early disease detection and reducing crop losses in agriculture.
