Data Platform & ML Engineer | Founder – Atolla Ocean | Ex-Amazon | 10+ yrs building data systems
I’m a Data Platform & ML Engineer with 10+ years of experience turning messy data problems into clear architecture, reliable pipelines, and simple user-facing outcomes. My background spans data engineering, ML engineering, and analytics engineering, grounded in a statistics degree and years of working closely with data scientists. I don’t pursue BI roles anymore, but I do bring a habit of thinking in experiments, tradeoffs, and real-world impact. Right now I’m building Atolla Ocean — an early-stage product that uses AI to help divers understand the marine life they encounter underwater. Alongside the technical work, I’m shaping the product story, validation plan, and early user experience as part of the Founder Institute 2025 cohort. Outside of that, I host refugees, help people with disabilities experience the outdoors, and volunteer as a mini-program developer for a donation platform. Those experiences keep me grounded in the idea that technology should feel like a door opening, not a barrier. I’d love to connect around data systems, ML workflows, ocean tech, or mission-driven products.
