Framework for intelligent recognition of the smartphone user's activity
May 1, 2016 – Present
This project deals with real-time human activity recognition (eg, running, walking, driving, etc.) using sensors which are available on current mobile devices. The final product of this project consists of multiple parts. First, an application for collecting sensor data from mobile devices. Followed by a tool for preprocessing of collected data and creation of a data set. The main part of the project is the design of convolutional neural network for activity classification and subsequent use of this network in an Android mobile application. The combination of previous parts creates a comprehensive framework for detection of user activities.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's diverse project portfolio, ranging from mobile applications and web development to highly specialized AI/ML research and industrial automation, suggests adaptability and a broad interest in technology. The leadership roles and involvement in academic supervision indicate a collaborative and knowledge-sharing mindset. The focus on creating generic AI solutions for industrial automation aligns with a problem-solving and impact-driven culture. However, the lack of explicit cultural values or team interaction descriptions makes a deeper assessment challenging.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience as a VP of Engineering and Team Leader indicates strong leadership, project management, and team collaboration skills. The role as a consultant and supervisor for theses also suggests mentorship and knowledge transfer abilities. The project descriptions, while lacking specific detail on soft skills, imply a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving.
