Tiantian
December 1, 2014 – June 1, 2015
1. Acted as the Project Manager aiming at building the prototype of driver, passenger and driver-passenger interaction, developing both client-side and server-side functions as well as DB tables, and integrating APIs including Baidu Map and Taikang. 2. Enhanced user experience through adding communications, such as voice and video delivery, IP phone call and real-time notification, between driver and passenger. 3. Researched route matching algorithms and reduced the average search time to 0.6s. 4. Utilized the algorithm that suggests similar routes and ranks related ones on top.
Wechat Service Platform (WSP)
June 1, 2014 – Present
WSP acts as a common pipeline that integrated information communications between Wechat service and multiple Wechat official accounts. Responsibilities: Constructed the three-tier architecture of WSP together with developing storage structure, learning systems, big data analyzer and message processor. Utilized Spring and Apache tools to design and develop the module for interactions between human and Wechat, and interactions between Taikang's systems and Wechat APIs. 1. Integrated Apache Mina and JBoss Netty into Spring Framework along with optimizing http request method to increase TPS per server to 40,000 and to decrease RTT to 0.1s. (Usage: CPU < 60%, memory < 30%) 2. Studied the method routing users' requests to their desired system and responding its replies to users. User experience rose after applying this approach. 3. Enhanced efficiency of data processing by putting private records in MySQL, storing frequent access data in NoSQL, and laying logs, csv files and media files in NAS. 4. Built a pattern matching algorithm tracking users' behaviors based on logging files. 5. Supported speech recognition by invoking Wechat APIs of voice, and implemented image recognition by calling Face++ APIs. Achievement: WSP supports for the PV up to 11 million per day. It retrieves these details of nearly 29 million users and analyzes user behaviors based on user records stored in NoSQL servers. Automation achieved in this manner not only reduced the manual effort involved in responding to user's messages, but also ensured WSP's ability to process up to 50,000 requests from users every seconds. This project was awarded Taikang's Innovation Prize on 2015 and has applied for China Invention Patent on September 7th, 2015.
RUBY (a web-based Treasury and Risk Management Software)
February 1, 2013 – April 1, 2014
1. Conducted front-end development in Ext JS 4.2 and back-end development based on Spring MVC Framework. 2. Developed data access to Oracle DB in JPA 2.0. 3. Created Spring Batch jobs processing records in Oracle Server and hence enhanced efficiency of data transaction by 28.8%. 4. Increased the system security of data model by adding privacy for model creation and making it support for search filter.
Compiler for a Pascal-like Language
September 1, 2012 – December 1, 2012
Project for capstone course Compiler Construction at New York University 1. Built the Lexical Analyzer using flex. Built the Parser Generator (generates rules and symbol table) using bison. 2. Created the Semantic Analyzer catching semantic errors and printing out error messages. 3. Created the Intermediate Code Generator generating three-address code represented as quadruples.
Connect Four Game
July 1, 2012 – August 1, 2012
Implemented the game that supports for both human player vs. human player and human player vs. AI player. • Designed a Java Swing GUI for the game board. Designed classes based on Observer and Factory Patterns. • Designed the algorithm for the AI player to look ahead a single move and make that move if it results in a win.
Management Electronic Health Record System
August 1, 2010 – July 1, 2011
Internship project at Xinyuxiang Technology Co. Ltd. in Nanchang, China 1. Developed the server-side software, including models and filters, by using Java Servlet and MySQL, and deployed the project on tomcat servers. 2. Designed algorithms for compressing and classifying the data retrieved from human records, reducing the average processing time by 20%. 3. Improved system security by importing input verifications in JavaScript, creating filters that prevent bad http requests using session methods and database persistence, and fixing XSS and SQL injections. 4. This program was licensed of National Software Copyright Register Certificate on June 18th, 2011.
