Managing Director - Cybersecurity, AI, & Community Advisor | Global CIO/CISO | IT Strategy, Risk, Operations, & Transformation
I’m a global technology and cybersecurity executive who leads with empathy, clarity, accountability, and a bias for action. For more than 25 years, I’ve helped organizations grow, modernize, and stabilize across startups, public companies, regulated industries, and transformation-heavy environments. I’ve led as a CIO, CISO, CTO, enterprise program leader, and executive advisor, partnering with boards, founders, and leadership teams to strengthen operations, reduce risk, improve resilience, and build cultures that can perform under pressure without losing their humanity. What matters most to me is not just fixing systems. It’s helping people and teams thrive while doing hard things. I’m passionate about building resilient teams that can navigate change, recover from setbacks, work across silos, and stay grounded in purpose while delivering measurable results. I believe strong leadership means listening well, communicating clearly, making the tough calls when needed, and never asking people to carry chaos alone. My experience spans cybersecurity, information security, IT strategy, technology strategy, IT operations, fraud and authentication, eCommerce, digital transformation, product development, M&A integration, compliance, governance, cyber risk, and executive coaching. Along the way, I’ve helped grow a $3B portfolio to $12B, supported M&A and IPO environments, led complex global technology and security operations, and delivered business outcomes through cost optimization, modernization, risk reduction, and stronger execution. I also care deeply about leadership development and community impact. Through executive coaching, speaking, mentoring, and nonprofit leadership, I help leaders move from chaos to alignment, from burnout to resilience, and from reactive decision-making to intentional leadership. Since 2020, I’ve delivered 200+ keynotes, livestre

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's diverse experience across various industries (tech, finance, manufacturing, media) and their active involvement in professional communities (ISSA, SIM) indicate a strong adaptability and a proactive approach to professional development and networking. Their focus on building resilient teams and trusted communities aligns well with collaborative and growth-oriented cultures. However, the target role is 'Cybersecurity', and while the candidate has significant experience in this domain, their resume also highlights a broad range of IT leadership, coaching, and general management, which might suggest a broader interest beyond a purely technical cybersecurity focus. The personal projects are very diverse, including photography and a book on 'Hacking Firefox', which, while showing breadth, do not directly align with the target role's core technical requirements.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate demonstrates strong leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills through their extensive experience in executive roles, advisory positions, and community leadership. Their ability to manage complex programs, drive transformation, and build resilient teams suggests a high operational fit for senior management roles. The numerous certifications in coaching and leadership further support their soft skills development.
