Chatbot for Job Offers
May 1, 2017 – Present
We developed with Python a chatbot which asks the user several questions then returns a list of the most suitable job offers. The job offers database was scraped from the website “leboncoin.fr”. The program uses several Text Mining techniques. The graphical interface is built with the Tkinter package. The source code is available on: github.com/MehdiAB161/Chatbot-for-Job-Offers

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's background is heavily skewed towards Machine Learning, AI research, and data science. While this demonstrates deep technical expertise, the target role is 'Backend Engineer'. The projects and experience do not explicitly highlight traditional backend engineering skills such as API design, database management, distributed systems, or specific backend frameworks (e.g., Java Spring, Node.js Express, Go Gin). This suggests a potential mismatch with a pure backend engineering role, though the strong technical foundation could allow for a pivot. The diversity of research institutions and companies (Japan, France, UK, US) indicates adaptability and exposure to different work cultures.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience at DeepMind and Aqemia suggests a strong aptitude for complex problem-solving and working in cutting-edge research/startup environments. The role as the first ML hire at Aqemia indicates proactivity and the ability to build systems from the ground up. The research publications and open-source contributions (GitHub links) demonstrate a commitment to sharing knowledge and contributing to the technical community. However, without direct assessment data on collaboration or communication, specific soft skill strengths are inferred from role descriptions.
