Lead Data Scientist @ DSV - Global Transport and Logistics
I started programming early and caused quite a few issues for my primary school's IT department because the math classes were not stimulating enough and I have been hooked ever since. I'm probably among the nerdiest of nerds, yet relatively outspoken, and I love computer games, anime, and anything Japan, but I also enjoy running or working out in the gym 3 days a week. I'm very politically interested; I'm an amateur stock investor with accumulated 750% returns over the past 6 years, primarily in Tesla (Über bull) and semiconductors; and I'm a semi-active advocate for nuclear power through the Danish engineering union (IDA). My current professional interests include, but are not limited to: Natural Language Processing (NLP), Deep Learning at scale, and generally everything required to solve problems with machine learning models.

Giraf autism App
February 1, 2015 – June 1, 2015
Giraf is a tablet environment aimed at autistic children with little or no verbal communication. It can be used for daily schedules, games and education. The Giraf system has been developed by students at Aalborg University as the bachelor project on the software engineering education from the spring of 2011. The system has been created in close cooperation with Børnehaven Birken (Kindergarten), Egebakken (School), Enterne (Home for disabled), The speech institute at Aalborg municipality og Center for Autism and ADHD at Aalborg Municipality. The system will be developed continuously and will hopefully be ready for use within the next years.
Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's diverse experience across different companies (DSV, Chatdesk, Cactus Communications, Intel) and roles (Lead Data Scientist, Senior ML Engineer, ML Engineer, Student Assistant) demonstrates adaptability. Their involvement in a social impact project (Giraf autism App) and talent acquisition efforts suggests a collaborative and community-oriented approach. The progression from Software Engineering education to specialized ML roles aligns well with a growth-oriented culture.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience as a Lead Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist at DSV, where they managed objectives, contributed to MLOps, and were involved in recruitment, suggests strong leadership, collaboration, and operational skills. The emphasis on 'building software, not notebooks' indicates a product-oriented mindset and a focus on robust, deployable solutions.
