Valley Of The Khans
June 1, 2010 – Present
The Valley of the Khans Project (VotK) is an international collaborative effort between the International Association for Mongol Studies, the Mongolian Academy of Science, the University of California at San Diego and the National Geographic Society (NGS). VotK was formally initiated in 2008 by Dr. Albert Yu-Min Lin at the Center for Interdisciplinary Science in Art, Architecture, and Archaeology at the University of California San Diego and has been developed in collaboration with Prof. Shagdaryn Bira, Secretary General of the International Association for Mongol Studies (IAMS), Prof. Tsogt-Ochiryn Ishdorj Deputy Director of the IAMS and Dr. Fredrik Hiebert Archeology Fellow of the National Geographic Society. The project has conducted 3 multi-international expeditions to the Khentii Aimag during the summers of 2009, 2010, and 2011. The project's goal is to conduct a non-invasive remote-sensing search for the tomb of 13th century iconic figure, Genghis Khan, thus enabling organizations such as UNESCO to establish conservation and protection measures concerning this increasingly endangered element of collective world heritage.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's diverse background, including academic research, startup co-founding, and leadership roles in established companies, suggests adaptability and a broad perspective. The 'Valley of the Khans' project highlights interdisciplinary collaboration and a unique approach to problem-solving. However, the target role is 'Data Analyst', which might be a step down from their extensive leadership and CTO experience. While they possess strong analytical skills, the fit for a pure analyst role, rather than a leadership or architect role, needs further exploration. The breadth of experience is high, but direct alignment with a pure 'Data Analyst' role, which often implies less strategic and more execution-focused work, is moderate.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience as a co-founder and lead consultant suggests strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills. Their history of creating and leading teams (e.g., A3I group, Data Science Applications team) indicates an ability to drive initiatives and manage technical talent. The descriptions imply a results-oriented approach, crucial for operational fit.
