CTO at Sibylla AI | Building AI trading strategies | ML, systems, and applied research
I’m CTO at Sibylla AI, where I lead the design & implementation of production AI trading strategies. My focus is on turning machine learning into reliable, high-impact systems — from data pipelines and infrastructure to deployment and continuous improvement in real-world environments. Before this, my work spanned applied machine learning, medical imaging, and signal processing, with publications and patents in areas where accuracy, robustness, and interpretability matter. At Sibylla AI, I’m responsible for: • Technical strategy, code quality and model architecture • Building and leading high-performing ML, data science and engineering teams • Translating research into scalable, high quality, production-ready systems • Supporting product direction and technical due diligence I’m particularly interested in problems where: – data is complex and noisy – decisions have real-world consequences – strong engineering matters as much as theoretical optimality If you’re working on challenging AI problems or building in this space, feel free to reach out.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's diverse experience, ranging from academic research (University of Surrey, UCL) to industry roles in AI/ML (Nokia Bell Labs, Fetch.AI, AstraZeneca, Sibylla AI), demonstrates adaptability and a broad perspective. The progression into leadership roles and involvement in cutting-edge areas like Generative AI and Transformers indicates a proactive and innovative mindset, which is generally a good cultural fit for dynamic tech environments. The lack of specific project details makes it difficult to assess collaboration style or specific cultural alignment beyond general leadership traits.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's resume highlights leadership, team management, and communication skills across multiple senior roles. The PhD research also indicates strong analytical, experimental design, and reporting capabilities. These attributes suggest a strong operational fit for leading or significantly contributing to complex ML projects.
