James Kebinger

I’m a Staff Software Engineer on the Reforge Launch team at Reforge, helping build platforms and tools that empower product and engineering teams to ship, iterate, and scale with confidence. Reforge Launch is the evolution of Prefab after its acquisition, focused on runtime configuration, feature controls, and developer-centric infrastructure.  I thrive on stabilizing critical systems, scaling distributed and data-intensive platforms, and accelerating high-priority initiatives — balancing big-picture system thinking with hands-on execution. I stay deeply technical, contributing to architecture and code while helping teams deliver reliable, performant systems. I also enjoy leadership and mentorship — coaching engineers, driving technical clarity, and fostering collaboration through shared problem solving and design reviews. Before Reforge, I spent more than a decade at HubSpot working on backend and data-intensive systems that supported core infrastructure and revenue-critical platforms, scaling those systems through rapid company growth from a relatively small team to a global organization.  I joined Prefab early as a founding engineer, where I built backend tooling and infrastructure and shared technical learnings with the community.  I love solving hard engineering problems, shaping scalable systems, and empowering teams to move fast with confidence.
