/You cannot accomplish the impossible without attempting the absurd/ Current info: https://ivoras.substack.com/about Ivan Voras, PhD, is a freelancer and entrepreneur, proud of the breadth of the projects under his belt, and those span from Bitcoin and blockchain technologies, operating system kernel development to hardware solutions for Internet of Things devices. He worked at the Faculty of electrical engineering and computing of the University of Zagreb for a large part of his life, satisfying his inclination for researching and developing new solutions, and now is continuing that lifestyle in a couple of startups, thinking of solutions for existing and new problems. His favorite areas of technology are those dealing with network protocols and communications, and low-power devices combined with renewable energy sources. He enjoys writing, and has been an associate editor for Croatian IT magazines Mreža and Bug, regularly produces fresh material for his blog in the Croatian language, and not-so-regularly for a couple of blogs in English. Has the dubious honour of creating or participating in more than a hundred open source project, some of which are truly global. Usually maintains a tempo of creating 3-4 large-ish projects a year, because he believes in the “try everything, see what stick” philosophy of living. Still believes he will find the time to do all the things which often fall through to the bottom of his ToDo lists. He is a founder of the Equinox augmented reality platform project, http://equinox.vision/ , currently looking for partners and investors. Ivan likes to do photography to relax and often gets the itch to take a paintbrush and expand into actual painting. Enjoys long walks on which he has the time to listen to a large number of podcasts, so ask him for a recommendation!

Daisy private blockchain
June 1, 2017 – Present
What if there is a blockchain where only certain nodes, in possession of one of accepted private keys, can add data (i.e. new blocks) to a blockchain, whose blocks are (SQLite) databases, and where those existing nodes can accept new ones into their ranks by signing the candidate's keys in a web-of-trust style? This is what Daisy enables.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate demonstrates a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a history of involvement in emerging technologies and open-source communities. Their role as a founding board member of a blockchain association and a blockchain academy lecturer aligns well with a culture that values innovation, knowledge sharing, and industry contribution. The variety of roles, from deep technical research to leadership and advocacy, suggests adaptability and a broad perspective. However, the recent shift towards AI/ML roles might indicate a broader interest beyond blockchain, which needs to be explored for long-term cultural alignment with a dedicated blockchain role.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's diverse roles, including founder, board member, and lecturer, suggest strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills. Their involvement in open-source projects (FreeBSD, HrOpen) indicates a collaborative and community-oriented mindset. The podcast hosting role further highlights communication abilities. However, without specific psychometric test results, a definitive assessment of work attitude, stress handling, and team collaboration is not possible.
