SAFEDrive - Smart Automated Fatigue and Elevation Detection Drive System
April 1, 2024 – April 1, 2024
Drowsy driving is a pervasive issue in India, contributing to approximately 100,000 accidents, 71,000 injuries, and 1,550 fatalities annually, as reported by the National Safety Council (NSC). Existing drowsiness detection systems rely only on computer vision, resulting in a critical gap in providing comprehensive solutions to prevent accidents caused by drowsy driving. Moreover, these systems are expensive, costing nearly 10 times more than our solution.
PULSE - Policing Unified Language and Sentiment Evaluation System
October 1, 2023 – March 1, 2024
P.U.L.S.E. stands as a cutting-edge, fully connected integration prioritizing sentiment analysis of genuine police service records, steering clear of any ToS concerns linked to external data scraping. Going beyond mere feedback and service record sentiments, the system delves into comprehensive sentiment analysis of the entire complaint and grievance dataset through the Integrated Complaint Allocation System (iCAS). This innovative approach facilitates the generation of rich, actionable data for department-wide geolocation-based analytics, enhancing decision-making through an intuitive dashboard. June 1, 2023 – July 1, 2023
Performing future forecasting of PM 2.5 Levels as a part of a project during internship at Central Pollution Control Board. This involved working with large datasets of time-series data, performing analysis, and testing out time-series models. Models tested were ARIMA, SARIMAX, VARMAX and Stacked LSTMs.
Text Classification of Multilingual and code-mixed Complaints involving categorizing complaints into distinct labels using Machine Learning techniques
June 1, 2023 – July 1, 2023
Creating models for automated classification of Complaints received on Sameer App by CPCB, so as to easily and accurately allocate complaints to different departments and further analysis. Complaints were of multilingual nature, and also code-mixed i.e. consisted of Hinglish complaints as well. Further, Named Entity Recognition (NER) combined with Rule Based approach was adopted to extract locations from complaint descriptions, for collection of additional location data related to complaints, and visualizing on a map to identify hotspots of complaints.

Demonstrated the usefulness of machine learning technologies for modeling and predicting the impact of restrictions on pollution levels, providing valuable insights for policymakers and stakeholders seeking to mitigate the environmental impacts of such measures.
Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's diverse project portfolio, ranging from backend systems to AI/ML applications and entrepreneurial ventures, indicates a broad interest and adaptability. The experience at Zomato and Goldman Sachs, both fast-paced and demanding environments, suggests a good fit for a challenging technical culture. The personal projects, especially 'FiveIQ' and 'AUP Events', show initiative and a desire to build impactful solutions. However, the target role is Backend Engineer, and while the candidate has relevant experience, a significant portion of their personal projects lean towards data science/ML, which might indicate a broader interest beyond pure backend engineering. The lack of explicit team collaboration or leadership roles in the provided data limits a deeper cultural fit assessment.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's project descriptions suggest strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to learning new technologies. The 'Everything' role at OsmFX Mods indicates entrepreneurial spirit, full product lifecycle management, and client engagement skills. The detailed descriptions of work at Zomato and Goldman Sachs suggest an ability to articulate complex technical contributions clearly. However, without direct assessment data on communication or psychometric tests, a definitive evaluation of soft skills and operational fit is limited.
