Computer Science and Engineering Student with a focus on Generative AI
I believe that technology is changing the world. I am a diligent Computer Science and Engineering Student aspiring to be an engineer with a special focus on Generative AI, currently finishing my MSc. in Computer Science and Engineering with my final thesis defense on June 26th. I consider myself a very focused, disciplined, interested, adaptable and determined person who is eager to acquire more knowledge. "Mens sana in corpore sano"- It stands for the ideal of versatility. A person is only healthy when he is occupied both intellectually and physically. This is a motto that i live by, thats why I am always exercising both my physique and my mind.

Development of an Emotional Interactive Intelligent Virtual Agent
September 1, 2024 – November 1, 2025
This thesis presents the virtual agent created in the investigation and development of an emotional and interactive intelligent virtual agent designed to support the emotional and social needs of elderly individuals via a chatbot conversation. The proposed solution uses artificial intelligence to recognize, interpret, and respond empathetically to human emotions in real-time. Using multimodal emotion recognition techniques, Large Language models and Natural Language Processing (NLP), the proposed agent combines facial expressions and speech to detect and classify emotional states accurately, using them to improve the human-computer interaction. The solution is also personalized which means that it knows each human, his family, his history and his hobbies particularly, and it is continually learning from the interactions during the conversations using the new information to grow the memory about that specific human.
View ProjectTransformer-Based Detection of B-Lines in Lung Ultrasound
April 1, 2024 – June 1, 2024
Lung Ultra-sounds (LUS) have been a widely used tool for patient assessment for the last 50 years. However, subjectivity still applies when counting and evaluating the presence of B-lines, which are artifacts that appear to be heavily correlated with pulmonary congestion. In this work, we evaluate the performance of state-of-the-art transformer models against a deep learning approach benchmark to attempt to classify the presence of B-Lines in patient's Lung Ultra-sounds.
