Manager Production
With my background in solid state electronics I startet my carrier in a 6in CMOS wafer fab (X-FAB) as a process engineer responsible for defect engineering. The detection and analysis of countless defect mechanisms helped me to get a deep understanding about the semiconductor manufacturing. After a view years I decided to switch to the semiconductor equipment manufacturers. As an technical application engineer I learned a lot about the sales and development process and worked close with my customers all over Europe. Most of all I appreciate to had the opportunity to get a closer look at the Japanese and Asian culture during my 9 years working for Hitachi High Technologies Europe. After handling and solving a lot of technical challenges it was time for me to make the next step. To take personal responsibilities as a team leader was a highlight of my carrier! It was very interesting and a new experience to guide my team to fulfill all challenges of the daily (24/7) manufacturing work. The team lead helped my to develop and improve my communicative skills, diplomacy and leadership. At the beginning of my carrier I always wanted to work and live abroad for a couple of years! 5 years ago this dream became true. Together with my family I moved to Texas to establish and ramp up a SiC production line. New colleagues, processes, equipment all at ones! I’m very happy that we took this opportunity. To build something new which wasn’t there before is something I always like to challenge.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate has a very long tenure at a single company (X-FAB, with a period at Hitachi High-Technologies Europe), indicating loyalty and stability. The roles are highly specialized in semiconductor manufacturing, which may limit exposure to diverse industry cultures or product development methodologies outside of this specific domain. The target role of 'Product Manager' is a significant shift from their current and past operational/engineering management roles, suggesting a potential cultural mismatch with typical product management environments that require broader market, customer, and strategic product lifecycle experience. The lack of project diversity and skills outside of semiconductor manufacturing operations indicates a narrow cultural fit for a general Product Manager role.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's career progression from Process Engineer to Production Manager at X-FAB, along with a role as Quality Inspection Manager, suggests strong leadership, problem-solving, and operational management skills. The description of roles indicates an ability to manage teams and complex technical processes. However, without specific psychometric test results, a detailed assessment of work attitude, stress handling, and team collaboration is not possible.
