Data Scientist / Software Engineer | Co-Founder @DataScoot
I consider myself to be mostly a problem solver: whether it's people desiring to fix an issue with an existing system, or people desiring to tackle a specific operational problem in a smart and automated way, I'll discuss with them in order to understand their need; then I'll see what is possible to achieve, using tools and technics from the domain of artificial intelligence in general, and machine learning in particular; and then I'll set up or create an adequate solution (or make an appropriate recommendation). In that case I'll take a look at which service or tool might already exist and do the trick. But I'll also gladly get my hands dirty with the programming and the manipulation of the database if it appears that doing so is adequate. I like to pay attention to details, which allows me to get a deep enough understanding of the systems that I'm working on so as to be able to solve existing issues with them to to suggest useful improvements; and in general, to be a dependable person.

Student project in partnership with the Association Planète Mars, the engineering school Ecole Centrale de Lille, NOVESPACE and the CNES. The project consisted in conceiving, fabricating and testing in simulated zero gravity a spaceship model so as to demonstrate the viability of the concept of artificial gravity generation aboard such a spaceship. The model was successfully launched and tested during the parabolic flight campaign organized by the CNES from the 1st to the 10th of octobre 2013. Internet site (in French): http://www.marszerog.fr/
Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's diverse project experience, ranging from academic research to startup co-founding and corporate data science, indicates adaptability. The long tenure at QIMA and Inria suggests stability and commitment. However, the target role of 'Data Analyst' might be a step down from their 'Data Scientist' and 'Co-Founder' roles, potentially leading to a mismatch in expectations or underutilization of advanced skills. The 'Mars Zéro-G' project shows a passion for complex, long-term endeavors.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate demonstrates strong problem-solving skills through various data-related projects, including optimizing resource allocation and developing custom libraries. Experience in leading projects and onboarding junior employees suggests leadership and collaboration potential. The co-founder experience indicates an entrepreneurial mindset and initiative.
