Electronic Record Management System
February 1, 2011 – September 1, 2013
Aim of the project was developing an Electronic Record Management System, Records in paper form can be digitally recorded in the Electronic Record Management System (E-BELGEM) using fast and precision scanners with OCR capabilities. E- BELGEM provides advanced features such as metadata modifications and record modifications and fast full text searching on the records for operators. I worked as software developer, continuous integration and deployment engineer. Developed an ocr module with Abbyy Ocr Engine, developed a compression-cipher module. I built a continues integration environment with Jenkins-Sonar and their plugins such as Checkstyle, PMD, FindBugs, etc. I was the assistant project manager -responsible for the technical side- in the last year of the project. I worked with the customer closely during this period. There were many users using our system. In that year, I built and managed a Jira server between the customer and our side to deal with the bugs, request, conflicts etc.. while working as the scrum master. E-Belgem is running successfully since we deployed in 2013. A part of my and colleagues' works on code review and code analysis is accepted as "JAVA Coding Standards" for our Institute. My Keywords: JAVA, e-signature, file compression libraries like Snappy-Zip4J-QuickLZ, Abbyy Ocr SDK, Jenkins, Ant, Sonar, Jboss AS, Vsphere ESXi, Jira, Confluence, Solr.
TRENSIM / E43000 Locomotive Simulator
September 1, 2007 – February 1, 2011
TRENSIM is an E43000 electric locomotive simulator using advanced virtual environment technologies for the purpose of carrying out driver training comprised of basic driver training, advanced driver training in varying weather conditions, development of fault and risk avoidance techniques, and monitoring and improvement of driver performance. The E43000 model locomotive simulator has been delivered to Turkish State Railways Eskişehir Training Center. I worked as a c++ software developer in Dynamic Modelling package. I worked about 4 years with a Russian team to develop E43000 Dynamic Model. Also I developed the road (Java), signalization models and loco-train malfunction model. TRENSIM simulator is running successfully since we deployed in 2011. My Keywords: C++, Java, VS 2008, Eclipse, Enterprise Architect, Codesynthesis, Finite State Automata, Clear Case, Clear Quest. Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's diverse project experience, ranging from Electronic Record Management Systems to Machine Learning and Locomotive Simulators, demonstrates adaptability and a broad technical interest. Their roles at Siemens as Chief and Senior Infrastructure Engineer, coupled with freelance DevOps and ML work, show a continuous drive for learning and applying new technologies. The extensive list of certifications, particularly in AWS, Python, and Machine Learning, further supports a proactive learning culture. However, the primary focus on DevOps and Infrastructure roles in recent years, while valuable, might require a slight pivot back to core data analysis responsibilities for a direct 'Data Analyst' role, potentially indicating a moderate cultural fit for a purely analytical position without significant data engineering components.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience as an assistant project manager and senior researcher at TUBITAK, along with managing a Jira server and working as a scrum master, indicates strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills. Their involvement in continuous integration and deployment, problem-solving in production environments, and liaising with stakeholders suggests a proactive and operationally aware individual. The 'Startup Works' section also highlights an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset, which can be beneficial for problem-solving and driving initiatives.
