Principal Data Scientist | AI for Drug Discovery | Exploring at BioUnfold
I work at the intersection of machine learning and biology, designing AI systems that help scientists uncover new biological insights and accelerate drug discovery. Over the past 10 years, I have built scalable ML pipelines and R&D platforms for imaging, omics integration, and generative chemistry — systems that are used in production and have shaped real programs. I enjoy translating complex models into practical workflows that biologists can use and trust. My focus is twofold: Platform & Strategy: building the infrastructure and methods that make discovery faster, more reproducible, and scientifically meaningful. Cross-disciplinary translation: helping biologists understand what AI can truly do for them — and helping AI researchers understand where biology resists oversimplification. I bring the curiosity of a researcher, the clarity of a strategist, and the pragmatism of a practitioner. I have worked exclusively in English-speaking environments and thrive in international, interdisciplinary teams. In 2025, I launched BioUnfold, a series exploring how AI can genuinely advance biology and drug discovery — from data to design. BioUnfold is grounded in real experience, not hype. Focus areas: • High-content imaging analysis • Multi-omics integration (transcriptomics, genomics, proteomics) • Generative chemistry • ML platform architecture and strategy • Cross-functional team leadership and mentorship What I value: deep where I know, exploratory where I do not, generous everywhere.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate has a diverse background spanning analytics, AI/ML in finance, and extensive work in biotech/drug discovery. Their experience in leading teams, building platforms from scratch, and integrating acquired teams suggests adaptability and a collaborative mindset. The recent freelance role exploring AI in biology indicates a strong interest in cutting-edge applications and continuous learning. While the experience is broad, the focus on specialized domains (biotech, finance) might require assessing their adaptability to other industry contexts if the target role is generic. However, their foundational software engineering and data platform skills are broadly applicable.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience as a Product Owner, Technical Lead, and Group Leader indicates strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional communication skills. Their ability to translate complex AI and biological concepts suggests excellent communication and strategic thinking. The descriptions highlight a proactive approach to problem-solving and a focus on delivering tangible business value, which aligns well with operational effectiveness.
