Acquia TAM, BDBlocks Founder, Drupal Developer, Brilliant Directories Customizations Expert
Started learning in Lynda.com for a personal project that involved Frontend and Backend work which resulted in awakening my passion for Software Development. After working in Amazon Call Center in the day and studying in the night over the internet I managed to get a job as PHP Developer in IDSCA which did not last long due to my learning curve..but the next job was different since I started as Junior Developer and managed to become productive in a short amount of time. Over time I have learned several programming languages out of necessity in the companies I have worked at. Working with both Frontend and Backend in different jobs has allowed me to see a problem from multiple perspectives which helps me find the cause without much struggle. My goal is to keep getting better than myself every day and evolve my career along with my knowledge. Software Development is my passion because it gives one the power to create and resolve with our mind, and the technology gets better every day so there's always more ways to achieve one objective and turn a problem into an opportunity.

First Drupal 8 site developed based on a theme acquired on ThemeForest. I already had taken a course in the past on Drupal 8, so the new functionalities and module structuring didn't represent a major concern...but I finally noticed that this version of the CMS is not as buggy as when I first tried it out. The project is not (yet) managed in a repository since the changes are mostly related to things achievable with a combination of blocks and views rather than pure code, but I do have worked on the twig files for customizing node layouts. This is an ongoing personal project that represents a personal code playground and also a freedom of speech place where I express my emotions on an encrypted impersonal Spanish. Feel free to browse and use as inspiration if possible.
New LegalShield website
April 1, 2017 – September 1, 2017
Combined 3 websites onto one (business.legalshield.com, opportunity.legalshield.com and legalshield.com onto the same codebase/styleguide). The project was challenging in regards to the timeframe and amount of business logic which had to be taken into consideration, but the release went successfully with all the surging bugs resolved withing a matter of 2 days (nothing business-critical). I helped with Frontend/Backend tasks (HTML/CSS/JS/JQuery/PHP/MySQL/SASS/Gulp/AcquiaPipelines/DrupalFeatures) in order to help provide a release which followed standards across the functionality created by several teams. The Stateside team took care of completing over 500 tickets in 2 months, and over 700 until reaching a stable release. There are over 1000 tickets which were taken care of by 4 teams across the world. Currently another phase is being worked which takes advantage of a multisite setup with shared codebase and partially shared databases. The theme and sections were created in order to easily recreate another version with a different skin with no difficulty, big level of effort or impact on the overal performance of the system.

The challenge of creating an interactive gallery for the people to discover the music released in Costa Rica was tackled in 2 weeks (creating the website, not considering the investigation which pieced the information together). This project is comprised of a Drupal 7 system which makes use of AJAX and website-scraping functionality to extract the album information and generate the players for different media sources (youtube, bandcamp, spotify). The UX and UI are meant to reduce the navigation required for accessing the content by minimizing the amount of elements available and also by providing different user flows depending on the device used (Desktop vs Mobile). The theme "Huntington" was used as a base (license acquired at themeforest.net) and adjusted to meet the expected UX.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate has a broad range of experiences across different companies and project types, from freelance to corporate, and personal initiatives. The projects demonstrate a willingness to explore new technologies and frameworks (e.g., Drupal 8, Laravel, CakePHP, AngularJS, React.js). The target role is 'Frontend Developer', and while the candidate has strong backend (PHP, Drupal) experience, their frontend skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, SASS, Bootstrap, Gulp, and certifications in React.js/AngularJS) show a clear alignment and interest in frontend development. The diversity of projects and continuous learning through certifications suggest adaptability and a proactive approach to skill development, which generally aligns well with dynamic team environments.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's project descriptions indicate a proactive and independent work style, often taking on 'one man army' roles or leading development efforts. Experience as a Technical Account Manager suggests customer-facing skills and problem-solving. The diverse project portfolio, including personal projects, indicates initiative and a continuous learning mindset. However, the psychometric test score is not provided, so a full assessment of work attitude, stress handling, and team collaboration cannot be made.
