Project Agile Development
May 28, 2026 – Present
Role: Back-end developer Technologies/Languages: PHP, Linux Client: SEFLab (Software Energy Footprint Lab), SIG (Software Improvement Group) The goal for this projects was to create a website to stream the top-100 listed movie trailers from the IMDb rankings and do this as efficient as possible. Our project team decided to keep all technologies as little as possible, to get some extra efficiency from those points. We went with a Linux distribution that was only 2MB (TinyCore). Furthermore we went with simple PHP code and removed all unnecessary parts from each page, while streaming HD videos. The services ran on a virtual machine, which was being monitored for several hours in different states to check how efficient these services were. It turned out that our team had the most efficient service and we won the competition. More information about the project here:
Project Enterprise Web Application
May 28, 2026 – Present
Role: Back-end developer Technologies/Languages: JavaEE/Spring/Maven/Hibernate Client: KLM Royal Dutch Airlines At the KLM headquarters, there were workshops for their employees to establish business objectives and match these in other parts of the workshop. Initially, these workshops were done by Powerpoints and paper for the employees to write these objectives on. The goal of this project was to create a digital environment for this workshops to be hosted. We created this service with JavaEE/Spring. My initial tasks were to create the login and authentication system.
Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate has a strong background in large-scale enterprise environments (KLM, Disney Streaming) and has worked on projects emphasizing efficiency and robust system development. The experience with diverse technologies (PHP, JavaEE/Spring, Kotlin, Python, AWS) indicates adaptability. The long tenure at Disney Streaming suggests loyalty and ability to thrive in a structured environment. However, the project descriptions are somewhat limited in detail regarding team collaboration or specific contributions beyond technical tasks, making a deep cultural fit assessment challenging. The 'personal' projects are academic/competition-based, which is good for demonstrating initiative but doesn't fully reflect real-world team dynamics.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's project descriptions indicate a focus on efficiency and problem-solving (Project Agile Development) and building foundational systems like login/authentication (Project Enterprise Web Application). The progression from Associate Software Engineer to Senior Software Engineer at Disney Streaming suggests growth and increasing responsibility. However, without psychometric or English test results, a comprehensive assessment of soft skills, work attitude, stress handling, and team collaboration is not possible.
