Various tools used to analyze the performance of the mutual funds, Limitations of the mutual funds, advantages etc. Comparison of the top equity funds of the Reliance Mutual Funds with HDFC & ICICI Mutual Fund. Data was used to analyze the volatility of the mutual funds. The study was related to the comparison of large cap funds, midcap funds & small cap funds. Conclusions: It was concluded that Reliance Mutual Fund was not good in all the categories. It was suggested to the company to focus on the improvement of the sharpe ratio. To maintain the returns performance in long term as it is.
