January 1, 2026 – June 1, 2026
BS Thesis. Adapted Magic-TryOn, a diffusion-based generative model, to the Indian fashion domain. Built the full data curation and processing pipeline; profiled cross-attention activations across the architecture to isolate failure to two specific layers (FGCA and SGCA), then recalibrated only those layers. Outperformed full fine-tuning on perceptual quality metrics SSIM and LPIPS. Structured the entire workflow for reproducibility: versioned experiments, documented ablations, tracked results systematically.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's academic projects show a strong interest in cutting-edge AI research (diffusion models, generative AI) and practical ML pipeline development, which aligns well with an AI Engineer role. However, their professional experience is heavily skewed towards Product Design and UI/UX, which, while valuable for understanding product lifecycle, does not directly contribute to the technical depth expected for an AI Engineer. The diversity of projects is good, but the professional experience does not directly align with the target role's technical requirements, potentially indicating a need for a significant pivot.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, research methodology, and technical documentation abilities through their academic projects. Their leadership roles in student organizations suggest good cross-functional collaboration and team management potential. However, the extensive UI/UX internship experience, while showing product thinking, is not directly aligned with a pure AI Engineer role, which might require a shift in operational focus.
