Operating System - xv6
January 1, 2023 – July 1, 2023
Implemented hybrid CPU scheduling (SJF + Round Robin) within xv6 kernel and benchmarked performance across CPU-bound and I/O-bound workloads. Implemented LRU-based page replacement, analyzing memory utilization trade-offs. Designed and integrated lazy memory allocation and demand paging mechanisms in xv6. Modified kernel-level data structures and trap handlers to support custom virtual memory features.
Stochastic Volatility Modeling and Option Pricing
January 1, 2023 – July 1, 2023
Implemented risk-neutral Monte Carlo simulations under Geometric Brownian Motion (GBM) and Heston stochastic volatility dynamic. Simulated asset price and variance dynamics using correlated random processes to study the impact of stochastic volatility on option prices. Analyzed implied volatility smile and skew across varying maturities and strike prices. Documented model assumptions, limitations, and scenarios where classical models fail to capture observed market behavior.
