Sentence Compression : Integer Linear Programming Approach
April 1, 2013 – Present
Produced summary of each sentence such that it retains the most important information and remains grammatical. Used Integer Linear Programming Approach. Used cplex (provided by IBM), Berkeley parser and Stanford parser API. Introduced Decision variable for each word and additional decision variables for whether the word starts the sentence of target compression , ends the sentence or comes in middle and made constraint like only one word can start/end the sentence and other using trigram model. Applied significance score to each word. Combined document level and sentence level significance. In addition to tf * idf , each word is weighted by its level of embedding in syntactic tree. Weights are given proportional to level of embedding. Applied other constraint to keep same meaning and grammatical like if adjective is included then its head is also included.
Matching Similarities between Graphs
March 1, 2013 – Present
Made a kernel function to calculate similarity between graphs and between similarities between nodes of same graph in order of n-square. Considered the topological positions of nodes in the graph, their different order degrees to make kernel function.
Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's background shows a strong inclination towards research and complex technical challenges, which aligns well with roles requiring deep analytical thinking. The entrepreneurial experience as a CTO suggests adaptability and a results-oriented approach. However, the projects are primarily academic or personal, and the experience as CTO lacks specific details on data analysis responsibilities, making it difficult to fully assess alignment with a typical Data Analyst role's day-to-day collaborative and business-focused aspects. The transition from a CTO role to a Data Analyst role would require further exploration of motivations and expectations.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience as a Co-Founder & CTO at Cityflo suggests leadership, entrepreneurial drive, and potentially strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a real-world business context. Their involvement in research and competitive programming indicates a self-starter attitude and ability to work independently on complex problems. However, specific details on communication and collaboration within team settings are not explicitly provided.
