I’m Ankan Adhikari, CTO of NowPurchase, where we’re building MetalCloud, an AI-powered SaaS platform redefining production and procurement for over 250 factories across India. 📌 Our mission Empowering metal manufacturers with trusted raw materials, AI-powered process optimization, and real-time supply chain intelligence so they can cut costs, boost efficiency, and compete on a global stage. My journey began in the hills of Shillong, where I began writing code at age 14. That curiosity has taken me from launching and exiting Pyoopil (acquired by UpGrad) to building Orderclap for the F&B supply chain and now tackling what I call a 1% success probability challenge — digitising India’s metal manufacturing industry. Over 13+ years, I’ve: ➥ Built multiple tech startups from the ground up to acquisition. ➥ Led the creation of MetalCloud, cutting procurement cycles from weeks to hours. ➥ Helped manufacturers save crores in sourcing costs while improving resilience. But this is just the beginning. The next decade will be defined by industrial SaaS — technology built for complex, under-digitised industries.
