Line Coverage Analysis
January 1, 2011 – Present
Conducted a research work, developed an experimental implementation and created a small paper on "Improving regression test selection using line coverage analysis". The project presented an improvement for the regression test selection algorithm of TestRank using line level coverage of the code.
Trading Agent
January 1, 2011 – Present
My team and I developed a trading agent to compete in an Ad-Auction simulation. We implemented machine learning algorithms to best model the environment (e.g. users preferences, and competing agents behavior) and optimize related actions and decisions (e.g. bids on search keywords) in order to achieve the highest profit and win the competition.
Rainbow Table
January 1, 2010 – Present
This project implemented an efficient attack against a commonly used password storage mechanism called hashed-passwords. This attack, called “rainbow-table”, is a generalization of the exhaustive search, but with a different time-space trade-off.
Acquire
January 1, 2010 – Present
A Java implementation of the classic board game "Acquire" by Sid Sackson. The project was developed using the extreme programming methodology and included web UI and Facebook support.
Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's experience spans startups (Meta Networks, Hush Security) and larger corporations (IBM, Proofpoint), indicating adaptability to different organizational cultures. The diverse project portfolio, including academic research and competitive simulations, suggests intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning. The leadership roles and entrepreneurial background align well with a culture that values initiative and ownership. However, the lack of specific project technologies makes it difficult to assess alignment with modern backend tech stacks.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's career trajectory, including co-founding companies and leading R&D teams, suggests strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Experience mentoring new programmers at IBM indicates a willingness to support team growth. The description of working globally with other IBM teams suggests good collaboration skills. However, without specific assessment data, a detailed analysis of communication, stress handling, and team collaboration is limited.
