Multi-Spectral Image Binarization using GMMs : Clustering
May 1, 2022 – May 1, 2022
The goal of clustering is to divide items into groups such that objects in a group are more similar than those outside the group. Stepping aside from programming for a second, we can gain a better understanding of clusters. The most common and straightforward way to compare the similarity of two data points is by using distance. In the same way, you would use the Pythagorean theorem to find the length of the diagonal, we can calculate the distance between two data points. This method of comparing similarity is called Euclidean distance.
Iterative Figure-Ground Discrimination : Parametric vs Non Parametric Estimation
March 1, 2022 – April 1, 2022
The aim of the project is to present a segmentation method for figure-ground discrimination. The use of kernel density estimation for color distribution enables the automatic selection of weights of different cues based on the bandwidth calculation from the image itself. Consequently, the combination of kernel density estimation for color distribution and the iterative sampling-expectation algorithm has resulted in encouraging segmentation results.
Facial Recognition using Class Specific Linear Projection : Eigen Faces vs Fisher Faces
March 1, 2022 – March 1, 2022
The aim of the project is to design a facial recognition algorithm that can detect the face under varying lighting conditions and that facial expressions are implemented. All methods perform well if presented with an image in the test set which is similar to an image in the training set. The Fisher face method appears to be the best at extrapolating and interpolating over variation in lighting, although the Linear Subspace method is a close second. Removing the largest three principal components does improve the performance of the Eigenface method in the presence of lighting variation but does not achieve error rates as low as some of the other methods described here. The Fisher face method appears to be the best at simultaneously handling variation in lighting and expression. As expected, the Linear Subspace method suffers when confronted with variations in facial expression.
Crop Recommendations Using Naive Bayesian Classifier
February 1, 2022 – February 1, 2022
The aim of the project is the Recommendation of optimum crops to be cultivated by farmers based on soil and weather parameters for maximum yield and profit. And Machine Learning Predictive model is developed using a Naive Bayesian Classifier (in Python Programming Language). Hence we are able to predict the class of crop dataset based on the Naïve Bayes algorithm and recommend which crop to be cultivated in specified parameters. Before predicting the class of crop data set, we also checked the mean accuracy of the algorithm by training and testing it using k-fold cross-validation. We got satisfactory results with a mean accuracy of 99.467%.

SELF OBSTACLE AVOIDANCE ROBOT CAR WITH BATTERY STATUS MONITORING SYSTEM
November 1, 2021 – January 1, 2022
The entire Project's aim is to develop a Self Obstacle Avoidance Robot Car which can avoid all Obstacles without hitting them and by itself turning in right path without the Driver Instructions. And hence it can be considered as a Self-Driving Car. Hence this can reduce Accidents and also makes Driving safer and easier. And also, this Robot Car has a Battery Status Monitoring System which updates the user about Battery Voltage and Percentage at any time and anywhere. So that user can know the condition of Battery and can take necessary steps to charge the Battery if Battery is about to Empty. And in this Project, I directly made Web request about the condition directly by sending a Gmail which is very easy and understandable to any type of user.
Industrial Visit Report - Preliminary Energy Audit
November 1, 2021 – December 1, 2021
Energy analysis is carried out for the industry and various energy saving oportunities are proposed and their feasibility have been informed to the concerned person in the industry. The main objective was to observe and practice how engineering is applicable in the real industry and the actual energy scenario in the industry and what can be the possible rectifiable measures in case of any inappropriate processes going on in the plant resulting to typical energy losses. It is not only to get experience on technical practices but also to observe management practices and to interact with fellow workers. It is easy to work with sophisticated machines, but not with people.

WAVELET TRANSFORM BASED FAULT DETECTION IN SERIES COMPENSATED TRANSMISSION LINES
October 1, 2020 – February 1, 2021
This project presents a wavelet transform based approach for transmission line fault detection and classification that is a simple and effective. The power system faults such as LG, LL, LLG and LLLG have been detected and discriminated from each other using discrete wavelet transform. The WT based multi resolution analysis approach can be successfully applied for effective detection and classification and location of faults in transmission lines.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's project portfolio is diverse, spanning machine learning, image processing, control systems, and electrical engineering. While the target role is 'Data Analyst', a significant portion of their professional experience is in automation engineering within the automotive sector. The personal projects show an interest in data-related topics, but the core professional experience is more aligned with software/automation engineering. The certifications indicate an effort to upskill in data science and machine learning, which is positive for cultural fit towards a data-centric role, but the direct professional experience is not a perfect match for a senior Data Analyst role.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience as a Teaching Assistant and various IEEE volunteer roles suggests good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. The project descriptions indicate an ability to articulate technical problems and solutions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is explicitly mentioned in professional experience, indicating operational fit for team-based environments.
