Head of Executive Search-AI/ML @ Airbnb Ex Amazon | Ex-Google I Emerging Technologies
I am a diversity leader who rose up the ranks over the last decade in the Exec Talent Acquisition space. I am a lifelong learner, a mom to two brilliant girls, daughter of aging parents and an advocate for women’s empowerment. I lead with empathy and strive to build inclusive teams. With over 20 years of work experience, I am passionate about all things AI/ML specifically the brilliant minds that build these technologies. I am currently the Head of Executive Search-AI/ML at Amazon, where I lead an amazing team of senior executive recruiters responsible for hiring top executive talent for GenAI, ML, computer vision, NLP, and AR globally across Amazon and AWS. I am motivated by the mission of Amazon to be Earth's most customer-centric company, and I strive to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as well as to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Prior to joining Amazon, I was the VP Talent at Xpanse, a fast-growing fintech startup that leverages ML and robotic process automation to optimize workflows and create intuitive user experiences in the mortgage ecosystem. There, I had an exciting charter to lead global talent acquisition, people operations, human resources, and diversity strategy as we scaled the company. I helped attract, engage, and retain top talent, as well as build and maintain a high-performance and inclusive culture. I also contributed to the company's vision, strategy, and growth, as part of the executive team partnering with investors, and board members on planning the run rate for the IPO. Some of the skills that I applied and developed in this role include strategic planning, stakeholder management, and change management.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate has worked at several prominent technology companies (Amazon, Google, Airbnb), indicating an ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-performance environments. Their roles consistently involve strategic talent initiatives, often with a focus on AI/ML, which aligns with a forward-thinking, innovation-driven culture. However, the target role is 'Software Engineer', and the candidate's experience is entirely in HR/Talent Acquisition, which represents a significant mismatch for a direct cultural fit into a software engineering team.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's resume highlights strong strategic leadership, talent acquisition, and coaching skills. Their extensive experience in executive recruitment for AI/ML organizations suggests a high degree of operational fit for roles requiring strategic talent management and understanding of complex technical leadership needs. However, for a 'Software Engineer' role, these skills are not directly applicable to software development tasks.
