I'm a machine learning expert and open-source fan with strong hands-on experience both from startup and corporate environment. I had the privilege to work on great projects e.g. - building of image web search engine from scratch and tuning up fulltext search @ seznam.cz - improving recommendation of products for one of the biggest e-shops in the country - estimating the quality of the property neighborhood, based on aerial imagery - pushing AGI field in a private research project - measure cough frequencies from sound in clinical studies of chronic cough patients - analyzing interpersonal interaction from telemedicine data - LLM-based quality control and precise scoring of psychiatric assessments (HAM-A, MADRS) deployed in Phase 3 clinical trials My work spans state-of-the-art NLP, image processing, recommendation systems, and reinforcement learning, with a strong emphasis on taking complex ideas all the way into production. I focus on building collaborative machine learning and engineering teams capable of deploying and maintaining robust, real-world systems. I’m most interested in applying machine learning where it enables a clear qualitative shift, not just incremental improvement, often in areas where the use case is not obvious at first. I prioritize rapid validation and turning these ideas into systems that can be trusted in practice. My big passion is organizing machine learning meetups and educating people through workshops and public talks, which comes from my belief in the power of community and knowledge sharing...

Goal of this project was learning, how to work and communicate in bigger team of developers. We had to divide the whole project into several smaller parts and organize the work throught the whole group to develope the result in time for presentation.
Stack Overflow data mining

Developed interactive tool for visualizing the age distribution of Stack Overflow users. The primary goal of this visualization was to show the relationship between the age of users and the number of posts they create. However, the usage of GUI revealed much more information. We have empirically discovered, that expertness of user directly correlates with amount of their posts. It’s then easily possible to find out the experts on given topic. We can also compare popularity of different topics on StackOverflow and much more. The main contribution of application is in searching of people heavily involved in specific topics and following interaction. Worked with Stack Oferflow dump file of size 17GB, needed to create realtime response on queries. Team project (2 people). I proposed the use of full-text indexing engine MyISAM and data sampling technique, which resulted in execution time improvement of database queries by 100 times.
