Chirp - A Twitter-like workload generator.

Chirp is designed to generate benchmarks that approximate the workload that Twitter's infrastructure handles. While it is easy to obtain write workloads for internet-scale systems, it is often not easy to obtain the read workload. This is Chirp's contribution. Chirp is used to simulate reads on primary and secondary attribute values for benchmarking the performance of a key-value store that we are developing at UCR. We use Chirp in addition to the YCSB.
Efficient Secondary Indexing on Key-Value Stores

Designed and developed novel secondary indexing techniques for LSM tree based key value stores that utilize: - Lightweight bloom filter embedded indices, - Lazy and Eager update variants of stand-alone indices Also generated extensive experimental results that characterize the trade-offs between the three indexing techniques for various workloads.
